Who We Are

History

The Interfaith Dialogue Forum for Peace (IDFP) is a national interfaith and intercultural dialogue forum that has the peaceful coexistence of adherents of all governments recognized religions as well as all ethnic groups in Nigeria as its central objective. It was established through funding and facilitation by the King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (International Dialogue Centre (KAICIID)), Vienna Austria. The IDFP was formally inaugurated on 16th January 2017 in Abuja Nigeria with 100 Christian and Islamic leaders evenly divided.

Mission

The mission of the Forum is to mobilize adherents of all religious faiths in Nigeria towards creating opportunities for building trust, confidence, and cooperation through dialogue.

Vision

IDFP envisions a Nigeria where there is religious tolerance and mutual coexistence, hate speech is prohibited and freedom of religion ensured.
